Funny, yes – but it is sad when you think about it.
For the past few days, I have been reading David Platt’s new book, Radical. If you haven’t already, I would sincerely urge you to pick up a copy. Over the next few weeks, I will be sprinkling in some articles along the subject of “Radical Worship” that will explore stripping away some of the secular methodology we have stapled to worship in order to return to a more Christ-focused encounter.
Until then, re-focus on the video above. Why does the video strike a chord of humor? Is it because we can relate many of the situations to our own church services? Is it because we have been to churches where we have been shunned by greeters? Is it because we have been guilty of shunning visitors as greeters at our own churches? Is it, perhaps, that we have taken so much time to create so many different jobs at the church and different weekly traditions that we have lost sight of what should be the most important thing?
